Mundelein Branch Court is one of the busier auxiliary courthouses in Lake County. When traffic tickets are issued by local or state police in the surrounding area, the cases are heard at the Mundelein Branch Court.

The most common traffic tickets heard here are petty speeding, stop sign violations and other minor traffic infractions. The most common criminal cases heard at the Mundelein Branch Court are misdemeanor speeding and driving while your license is suspended.

There is free parking in front of the building. When you enter, you’ll need to take all metal objects out of your pockets, remove your belt, and pass through the metal detectors. You are permitted to bring your phone into court but you’ll want to turn it off or place it on silent.

Once you pass security, you’ll see the courtroom to your right. All traffic cases are held in here. If you have an attorney, you may want to wait for them outside the courtroom. You do not need to check in with the clerk if you have a lawyer. If you do not have a lawyer, you’ll want to stand in line and let the clerk know you’re there.
